Bachelor of Social Work: Make a difference to your community

With a degree in social work you will be ready to help empower individuals, families and whole communities to create positive change. Social workers are employed in areas of community development, health and education, child protection, family work, drug and alcohol, domestic violence, probation and reintegration and more.

You will develop the skills, knowledge and expertise to be a professional social worker here in New Zealand and beyond. upon graduating, you will be able to apply for provisional registration as a social worker. If you receive high grades in your third year of study, you may complete the fourth year at a higher level and graduate with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) (Level B).

This course is being offered at Napier and Gisborne campuses of the Eastern Institute of Technology in New Zealand.

Entry requirements: IELTS 6.5 (academic) in all bands or equivalent. You will also be required to participate in an internal selection process. This process includes the provision of a CV, police record, confidential referee reports and an interview.
