The first year of the degree will provide you with a solid foundation in business and management. In years 2 and 3 you will specialise in your chosen major, Accounting, Management or Marketing for a single major, or two of these if you choose to do a double major. A single major qualification can be completed over 3 years’ full time or equivalent for part time study, for a double major you will need to allow 3 and a half years’ full time study or equivalent to complete your qualification.

The Bachelor of Commerce programme is a blend of both theoretical and practical, with an emphasis on applied knowledge and skills. With any of the three majors you will develop general management skills (e.g. communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem solving skills) in addition to the specific business skills for your major.

Our Bachelor of Commerce is strongly industry orientated. We are continually seeking local and national industry input into the programme structure, content and direction. A Local Advisory Committee assist the Programme Area in assessing the continued relevance of our degree. Industry practitioners and business experts often come in as guest lecturers. The project and assessments you will complete during the degree are continually assessed and developed to make sure you will graduate with relevant skills to the local and regional economy.

English Language Requirements:

All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those students whose first language is not English must have:

• An International English Language Testing System (IELTs) overall academic score of at least 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each band), issued within the last two years or equivalent.
