Graduate Diploma in Health (Ara)
This one year programme enables you to broaden your employment opportunities in the health sector and develop your expertise in a wide range of areas including aged care, health assessment, mental health support and care of the diabetic person.
As part of the programme you’ll undertake a practical project which will take place either in your current workplace or in the community. The goals of your project are flexible and can be determined in collaboration between yourself, your tutors and your employer or the community. Completion of this project will give you an enhanced knowledge of how to apply what you’ve learned in a real health setting.
Please note: This programme is intended as professional development for overseas students. New Zealand citizens or residents holding a degree are advised to explore our combined Bachelor of Nursing and Masters of Health Science programme.
To complete this Graduate Diploma you are required to complete a minimum total of 120 credits.
