Become a leader in applied sport and science, and gain real-world experience in a sport, recreation, outdoors, fitness or education organisation.
Combine practical skills and theoretical knowledge in both the sporting and scientific domains. Specialise in disciplines such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, coaching, personal training, rehabilitation, sport massage, strength and conditioning or nutrition for performance or special populations.
Apply your skills, including designing training programmes, developing injury prevention measures and preparing athletes for performance, in practicals, projects, labs and in the community. In your final year, you will complete a research project.
This course is offered to students at the MIT Otara campus of the Manukau Institute of Technology in New Zealand.
Entry Requirements: IELTS (Academic) band score of 6.0 (with no score below 5.5).
