During the course of study you learn to interpret, critique and apply current research to solve leadership and mentoring problems in the workplace. You explore different leadership models and become familiar with a range of skills for mentoring others. You also gain critical knowledge regarding human resources for professionals and New Zealand employment legislation.

Upon successfully completing the requirements you’ll receive the award of:

  • Graduate Diploma in Mentoring and Professional Leadership


  • manager or supervisor in your specialist area of expertise (if you meet the professional body’s registration criteria), e.g. associate teacher, team manager in a health care setting or a social work setting
  • mentor for colleagues and students
  • professionally registered mentor


You must have an overall International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 6.0 (Academic)with no band less than 5.5 .
