Bachelor of Teaching – Early Childhood Education: Learn to teach and relate to young children
The Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) course provides students who may be working in or want to work in an early childhood setting with the skills required to successfully share their knowledge and maintain relationships with young children.
As a student of this programme you will discover how children learn and how to teach them effectively. You will also develop the leadership, planning and organisational skills and values you require to be a professional teacher. You will be required to work in a licensed early childhood setting for at least 12 hours a week, this ensures that you gain practical real world experience in teaching children.
This course is offered at the Hamilton City campus of the Waikato Institute of Technology in New Zealand.
Entry requirements: IELTS 7.0 (acadmeic) in each component along with a safety check involving police records of prior convictions.
